2017 Indoor Volleyball Season

What: The 2017 volleyball season will consist of the 4 core divisions along with a few additions (numbers permitting);

  • Men’s and Women’s Premier League. This is the elite division of volleyball in our region, ranging from school country week teams through to the volleyball “tragics”. This is the division if a good competitive game of volleyball is what your looking for
  • Mixed Competitive League. This division is no less competitive then the premier league. Teams consist of both women and men playing on a mens height net.
  • Mixed Social League. This is for the less experienced volleyball players, still competitive, but less strict in the rules. Like the Mixed competitive League the team consists of both women and men.
  • Junior League. A division for students  from year 7 through to year 12. Divisions within this league are subject to numbers, e.g. lower school & upper school. Please contact your schools physical education department to register interest.
When: Nominations are open!! the AVA hold nomination nights prior to the season. This years nomination nights are 29th of March and 5th of April in the meeting room at the ALBANY LEISURE AND AQUATIC CENTRE [Map]. State Tournaments

State Country Championships

TBC – Mandurah

State Country Championships are played in the long weekend in early June. They are played at the Loftus Recreation Centre. We usually send away a mens and womans team to represent Albany. Albany has been State Country Champions for the last 2 years. If you are interested in more information fill out the contact form.

Collie Coal Cup

1st weekend of August – Collie

The Collie Coal Cup is the last volleyball tournament on the calendar and teams usually take this as a less serious tournament. That still doesn’t mean the volleyball is at a good level. Again Albany usually sends a mens and womans team. And have done quite well in previous years. If you are interested in more information fill out the contact form.
